I spoke with Pasi Karsikas about Medica 2008 in Düsseldorf

I was searching for companies present at the Medica 2008 in Düsseldorf and learned from
Exhibitors & Products 2008 about the Company Profile of Contex:

  • Number of employees 1-19
  • Sales volume <>
  • Year of foundation 1999
  • Area of business Physiotherapy / Orthopaedic Technology / Occupational Therapy

Under the Company Profile is a short explanation of CTS.

What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)?

"Carpal tunnel syndrome is a painful progressive condition caused by Compression of a key nerve in the wrist. It occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the hand becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. The Carpal tunnel is named for the area of your wrist containing thecarpal bones, the transverse carpal ligament (connecting two outside carpals together), the median nerve and the tendons controlling finger and hand movement. Pressure on the median nerve may occur due to an injury (for example, a sudden bending back of the wrist), or sustained pressure from activities like typing/keypunching, chopping, hammering or pushing," informs the Medica 2008 web page.

More information to find here. I'll write more about the exhibition in the coming weeks.
